So that I can handblock!
Hand carved teak blocks, painted in different colors, have been used to create these pretty pretty fabrics

Wow, really beautiful.
Remind me alot of fabric from Provence. Beautiful.
Beautiful! tats my kinda fabric! Awesome
Bhavna!!! I love this new look! and so many add ons! I like your new slim header too- Only one suggestion- because its a busy background 'the Indian summer is not very visible. Maybe you can try a far bigger font fill it with white & give it a shadow - which will lift it off the white design. Dont know if Im making myself clear. Its just that its almost near perfect, couln't help giving the suggestion :)
I forgot- I clicked here to say this colloection is kickass - what colour combinations- I particularly liked the lime 7 yellow, the paisely & the white and red. awesome stuff!
Glad you liked it Robyn, Britt and Kanchan! :-)...I just came back from dining at my fav restaurant, and crossed 'Anokhi's' shop - which was closed. And, I still peered inside the dark glass to check if i can sight anything new!
;-)
Hmmm...let me try your suggestion Vineeta...I think i should be able to pull it off. And thanks a bunch for the suggestion :)If successful, you shall see the result :)
Mumbai also has an Anokhi outlet - right? I absolutely adore their Jaipur store!
These are so amazingly beautiful. Someone above mentioned Provencal prints - there *is* a striking similarity. Were Indian prints an influence? Were teak blocks imported to France in the 19th century and adapted?
I love your blog. It's absolutely beautiful. I've linked to you - I hope you don't mind.

Hi Persephone! Yes, you and Britt are so right - there is such a strong similarity to Provencal design! Let me do some research and find out if one is influenced by the other...

Hi Joni! :)
The banner image is from an ancient garment (desciption on the left panel of the blog). I am thankful to Vineeta for the suggestion around the blog's name - I used the Photo Impression to create the shadow effect :-)
